Anecdotally...
I've had one LCD (15") for 4 1/2 years now with no troubles at all and I
have two others (17" and 15") for less time but with equal success.  They
are all Samsung.

Anyone know of any good sites that compare crt to lcd?  My main monitor
is on it's last legs, so I'm looking to replace it.  I'd like to gain
the real estate the lcd will provide, but I have no idea what the life
expectancy is of these things or what kind of specs to look for.
