Perhaps our new Novell friend can help out with that...

Well? Where does Novell stand on "opening up" at least some of their 
products? GPL'ing eDirectory would be a good way to start the push. Most 
enterprises will be more than willing to pay for most other products, I'm 
sure. eDirectory could be the gateway for this to begin.
