[ale] Mandrake 9.1 update question

My mandrake 9.1 "knows" to look to Ga Tech, Atlanta FTP site for updates. GA Tech is not allowing FTP access.... "access denied". Anyone know anything about GA. Tech. access. I assume somewhere in my installation there is something that says to do an anonymous login there. Maybe the site is "busy".
How does the system know where to look and how to get it?
