[ale] Pings from Bellsouth ADSL IPs

Has anyone else noticed a whole bunch of pings from Bellsouth ADSL IP
addresses over the last few days? We drop + log the requests, and I have
seen line after line of ping entries in the log file the last few days,
and they all seem to be different Bellsouth IP addresses. Is this some
kind of exploit attempt? I can't imagine hundreds of different people,
all using Bellsouth ADSL, wanting to ping our network all of a sudden.
